Preventative Maintenance & Lube Schedule

Schedule Description Action
Daily Keep metal surfaces clean, free from dust, and rust. A light coat of SAE 10 oil may be added to the metal surfaces that do not come in contact with the paper stock. It is a good idea to cover the perforator when it is not in use to keep dust from settling in working parts.
Weekly Check condition of sucker cups and crown retainers at each pocket. Replace damaged, cracked, or hardened cups. Replace bent or deformed crown retainers.
Weekly Verify air flow from each air blast nozzle at each pocket. If air flow is poor or not flowing, use a fine gauge wire to clean air blast nozzle.
Monthly Clean and lubricate primary and secondary chains. Clean chains with a light coat of SAE 30 oil.
Monthly (724 only) Clean and lubricate primary and secondary chains. Clean chains with a stiff nylon brush to remove dirt and paper dust. Re-lubricate using SPRAYON LUBRICANTS #S00708 T.F.E. DRY LUBE or similar, plastic safe, T.F.E. dry lubricant.
