882 PERFECT BINDER

                   880 Cutter & Notcher Blade                           880 Brush

Clamp is easy to load and can be quickly adjusted for book thickness without tools. Both milling and roughing are accomplished in a single pass for increased production.

Spring-loaded plates cover the cutter and open only during the milling operation.

After milling, the booklet is cleaned by passing over the spine brush and vacuum.  This removes any clinging paper bits or other contaminates before glue is applied.

                                       880 Cover Stops

Twin rollers apply glue to the book spine.  Both rollers turn in the same direction.  These roller speeds are adjustable so that no build-up of glue occurs at either book end.  The adjustable scraper blades regulate the amount of glue on the rollers.  Heated wires sever glue "strings" as book passes from glue rollers to the nipper.  This removable pot holds a generous glue supply and the height is also adjustable. Easy-to-adjust cover stops on the nipper plates align the cover to the book .  The clamp assembly moves into position over the cover.  The nipper raises to force the cover stock into hot glue on the book spine.  The nipper plates then automatically adjust to book thickness and squeeze the cover onto the book.
(automatic cover joggers available w/887 Cover Feeder)

The operator interface provides a central master control for simple quick setup as well as total system monitoring.

A programmable control and timer allows operator to select proper glue temperature and set time before personnel begins work shifts.
